Soup & Soul 2026 - Soup Makers Needed

**CALLING ALL SOUP MAKERS  - NOW IS THE TIME TO SHINE**

Soup & Soul, our iconic fundraising event for the year, is 9 weeks away and we need to organize a vital element - the SOUP.   

Amazing events like Soup & Soul don’t happen without the support of our wonderful members. Huge thanks to everyone who has already volunteered their time to help -we appreciate you!!

If you haven’t been able to volunteer so far, it would be amazing if you could please consider making a batch of soup.

As we have an estimated 400 bowls to sell, we are anticipating we will need to have around 165 litres of soup made. 

Based on feedback from last year, and to adhere to health & safety requirements, we have decided that we will continue to limit the number of soup varieties and use set recipes. This year there will be 4 varieties of soup served at the event (plus a free kids soup provided by Alty) and everyone volunteering to make soup is to use a set recipe which will be provided by the SCArt Soup Team.

The soups for this year are Potato & Leek, Creamy Chicken, Pea & Ham, and a vegan/gluten free/dairy free Pumpkin.

Based on last year’s sales and feedback from members we are looking to make the following quantities of each soup:

• ·       9 x 5l batches of Potato & Leek (yielding approximately 45L)
• ·       9 x 5l batches of Creamy Chicken (giving 45L)
• ·       9 x 5l batches of Pea & Ham (45L)
• ·       6 x 5l batches of Vegan Pumpkin (30L)

We already have 9 amazing soup making volunteers (thank you!) but from these figures, we need more soup makers for the following recipes and quantities (you can nominate to make as many 5l batches as you like!)

• ·       5 batches of Potato & Leek
• ·       9 batches of Creamy Chicken
• ·       4 batches of Pea & Ham
• ·       4 batches of the Vegan Pumpkin

Once you’ve registered, you will be emailed with the relevant recipe/s, storage & transportation info and the required health & Safety forms to complete and return to the Soup Team.
