Come along and enjoy the many benefits SCArt membership provides:

• Weekly member group sessions (untutored).
• Regular classes and various workshops are held during the year.
• Two well equipped studio workshops. Pottery studio has hand building work spaces, wheels, gas/electric/Raku kilns, extruder, slab roller, etc.  The Painting studio accommodates all other artistic mediums.
• Opportunity to exhibit and sell your art works at the club’s annual Exhibitions and Art Markets.
• Welcoming and supportive atmosphere where you can express your creativity in whatever your chosen medium or skill level

Applying for membership

Applications for membership for art, painting, life drawing and sewing groups can be made online.  Please complete the expression of interest application below.  We will be in contact shortly afterwards to welcome you.

If you are interested in pottery membership, please complete the Pottery Membership Expression of interest.   We will contact you to discuss your options.  Please be aware there is a Wait List and immediate membership is not guaranteed. A membership team officer will be in contact with you in the near future.

Members need to have a sound understanding of safety issues in a pottery studio and our Health and Safety protocol must be strictly adhered to.

A standard level of experience is required to join the pottery group including a good working knowledge of using clay, either hand building or wheel throwing as our sessions are untutored self-help format rather than classes.

Volunteering

Our club is 100% run by volunteers, so we expect all our members to volunteer in order to ensure the continued operation of the club, and to keep our annual membership fees to a minimum.
