Learn, Practice, Share Workshop - How to plan for a market stall

Workshop Hosts

The attendees will:

·       Learn the market lingo.

·       Consider how to pack their wares for safe transport.

·       Practise efficient setting up of a market stall including gazebo, tables and weights to satisfy market requirements and keep other market stall holders/organisers safe and happy (whilst appreciating the physical nature of the task).

·       Learn the various table layout options, lighting options and display set up options, in order to attract customers to their stall on their day.

·       Discuss public liability insurance and what is required to register for a market stall.

·       Be given an essential equipment list to ensure they are prepared for the day and ready to sell and merchandise.

·       Be given advice on branding to maximise customer access to their products and the use of social media to gain followers.

Workshop Recommended for:

Any experience level of potter that is considering selling their wares at local markets.

Session Flow:

The session will start with about an hours theory, followed by a practical lesson in setting up gazeboes, market table layouts, display options and merchandising.
