Have you seen the new smaller in the pottery back verandah.

It is easy to miss cleaning the inside of this new piece of equipment but can be done so by placing a sponge or chux down the tube and clearing any remaining clay from the cylinder.

There was a successful working bee on Friday the 28/2 to move items from the blue shelves on the back Veranda and from the glazed storage room to the new shed. Thanks to the Friday regulars for helping and to Cath, Gary and Gary‘s friend for their hours of work to erect the shed.

The black boxes with potters personal items are now on the blue shelves on the back Veranda leaving space in the studio for work in progress and the ledges under the tables clear so that people can use them for temporary storage when they attend sessions and making the tables more easily moved when required for events.

There is also more space for glazed items and access is easier in the glaze storage room.

Our club is very fortunate to have a very wonderful person named Margaret Mockler, who puts a tremendous into getting grants for our club.

At the moment, we have been successful in a Community Partnership Funding Program Grant For $5,500 for a 3 year period. As well as a Strategic Development Plan Major Grants from the Sunshine Coast Council for $4,000.

These grant applications involve a lot of work by Margaret and her contribution to the running of our club is very valued.

Sunday, June 15th every 2nd Sunday of the month 9am to 2pm. Organised and hosted by Denise Piva.

Thís is an initiative to promote our member's creative, original works to the public. Those members who participate need to be there for setup, sales time and dismantling. The idea is that artists are available to speak to people interested in their work.

Do you know our club has wifi thanks to Cath Aronsten's efforts? Cath has been able to enlist the Sunshine Coast Council to instal a wifi hub. The cabinet is located in the office and you can connect through the Sunshine Coast Free WiFi service. The printer is also connected. Cath has sent a thankyou letter through to the Council to show our appreciation.

This service makes all the difference to our internet connectivity.

Thanks Cath and the Sunshine Coast Council.

Cath with the Sunshine Coast Technicians.
